BEEP! RETRO ARCADE OPENS
Yestercades, a 2,800-square-foot gaming emporium dedicated to classic video games of the 1970s and ’80s, opened with little fanfare Friday night and did a clanging, beeping business over the weekend, owner Ken Kalada tells redbankgreen. The pay-by-the-hour arcade is at 80 Broad Street in Red Bank, near the corner of Monmouth Street. (Click to enlarge)

THIS IS GREAT!!!!!
But $9.00 an hour to play video games?
Oct 27, 2011 @ 09:24:57
It’s right on par with the $10 an hour you pay for 1 hour of vintage pinball play at Silverball in Asbury Park. These are mostly vintage arcade games you don’t get access to anywhere else. Seems reasonable to me.

Ignore the whiners Ken! Yestercades is a wonderful addition to our town, the price points are reasonable, and youll tweak things as the market dictates anyway. Soon youll be doing cross marketing with the locals from No Joes, Smoothie King, Sugarush, etc cause they all know Yestercades brings eager spending foot traffic to the town. I wish you the best of luck and look forward to the costume contest this weekend.

My earlier comment was not meant to be negative.
Glad to see another business in town.
Call me old fashion, I’m used to a quarter a game, but I realize that was 20 some years ago.
Good luck, and my kids hope your around for awhile.
