A Neptune man faces a handful of charges after he got into an altercation with police last Saturday night, the Fair Haven PD reports.
Allante Williams, 24 of Neptune, was stopped at 11:16 p.m. that night by Detective Jesse Dykstra for operating a vehicle with a headlight out, and was found to have outstanding contempt of court warrants pending from Neptune and Spring Lake, police said in a statement.
While being placed under arrest, Williams “physically resisted, resulting in an altercation with Detective Dykstra and other Fair Haven officers at the scene,” according to the announcement.
Williams was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, and resisting arrest. He was also charged with driving with a suspended license.
He was ordered held on $10,000 bail at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
