MIDDLETOWN CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBED

call-in-the-authorities• On January 12, 2012 at approximately 10:00pm police responded to an armed robbery at the Quick Stop Convenience Store located at #58 Leonard Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown. Police say a male subject approximately 6’00 tall, 175 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black mask and blue surgical gloves entered the store and approached the cashier.

The suspect pulled a knife out of his clothing and demanded money. The suspect then fled the store and was last seen running towards Kunkel Park and the Henry Hudson Trail.

The Middletown Police Department reports the arrests of the following subjects for various offenses:

• Agnieszka Furtak, age 35, from Aberdeen Road in Aberdeen, NJ, arrested on January 9, 2012 by Patrolman Adam Vendetti for Shoplifting from the Sears Store. She was held on $2,500.00 bail with a 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Kyle Martin, age 18, from Michigan Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on January 10, 2012 by Patrolman John Mele for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana. He was released pending a court date.

• Sean Wollman, age 19, from Green Oak Boulevard in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 10, 2012 by Patrolman John Mele for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana. He was released pending a court date.

• Brian Bowers, age 30, from Griggs Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Corporal Keith MacDonald on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $500.00 bail.

Meghan Corless, age 22, from June Terrace in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 10, 2012 by Detective Laurence Schachtel for Theft. She was released pending a court date.

• Ralph Lee, age 33, from Sayreville Boulevard in Sayreville, NJ, arrested on January 10, 2012 by Patrolman Andrew Micalizzi for Obstructing the Administration of Law, Hindering Apprehension and on a Non-Support warrant issued by the Middlesex County Superior Court. He was being held on $47,384.00 bail.

• James Riggs, age 25, from First Street in Keyport, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Patrolman Felipe Benedit for Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. He was being held on $15,000.00 no 10% option by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Thomas Curran, age 28, from Kimberly Court in Red Bank, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Patrolman Charles Higgins on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Hazlet Municipal Court. He was held on $1,000.00 bail.

• Dustin Smith, age 22, from Birchwood Lane in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana. He was released pending a court date.

• Valerie Paternostro, age 46, from Holmdel Road in Holmdel, NJ, arrested on January 10, 2012 by Patrolman Adam Colfer for Harassment and Resisting Arrest. She was held on $2,000.00 bail with no 10% option.

• Dylan Difilippo-Campbell, age 18, from Bayside Parkway in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Patrolman Keith Hirschbein for Unlawful Possession of Xanax, Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

• Antonio Generoso, age 31, from Rubenstein Street in Staten Island, NY, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Patrolman Ryan Riffert on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $1,000.00 bail.

• Michelle Lodato, age 20, from Campview Avenue in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Corporal Keith MacDonald on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $250.00 bail.

Carissa Bossert, age 23, from Woods End Road in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Corporal Keith MacDonald on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Holmdel Municipal Court. She was released after posting $350.00 bail.

• Christopher Aiello, age 24, from Fox Wood Run in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Corporal Keith MacDonald on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $1,000.00 bail.

• Daniel Gibbons, age 36, from Kipling Way in Belmar, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Corporal Ronald Chesek on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $1,000.00 bail.

• Christopher McKnight, age 24, from Majestic Avenue in Lincroft, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Corporal Keith MacDonald on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Highlands Municipal Court. He was released after posting $1,000.00 bail.

• Robert Caizza, age 31, from Carter Avenue in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 12, 2012 by Patrolman James Beirne on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Tinton Falls Municipal Court. He was released after posting $115.00 bail.

• Lauren Corblies, age 25, from Atlantic Street in Keyport, NJ, arrested on January 12, 2012 by Patrolman Jason Caruso on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Sayreville Municipal Court. She was released on her own recognizance pending a court date.

• Joseph Colasacco, age 33, from Creel Road in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on January 12, 2012 by Patrolman Keith Hirschbein for Resisting Arrest and on a Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Red Bank Municipal Court. He was held on $5,000.00 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• James Catapano, age 25, from Walnut Street in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on January 13, 2012 by Patrolman James Beirne on a Failure to Appear warrant issued by the Middlesex County Superior Court. He was being held at the Middlesex County Correctional Facility.

• On January 12, 2012 Patrolman Keith Hirschbein arrested a 17 year old male juvenile from Middletown, NJ, for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana. He was released pending a court date.

• Stranley Sajecki, age 52, from Thompson Avenue in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 11, 2012 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia for Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Unlawful Possession of a weapon, Possession of Handcuffs, Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, and Providing False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer. He was held on $6,000.00 bail with a 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.
