URBAN OUTFITTERS POSTS SALES GAINS

urban-outfitters-logoUrban Outfitters, a national clothing chain with a presence in downtown Red Bank and Shrewsbury, reported strong revenue gains in its fourth fiscal quarter.

The Philadelphia-based company’s Urban Outfitters brand, which has a store at Broad and West Front streets in Red Bank, saw a 10-percent jump in sales from the comparable period of a year ago, to $356 million, it reported.

Sales at the Anthropologie chain, which includes a store at the Grove at Shrewsbury, on Route 35, posted a 5.6-percent sales gain, to $299 million, the company reported.

Revenues are not reported on a per-location basis. The company has 197 Urban Outfitters stores and 168 Anthropologies.

The report did not include profitability data.
