DETOUR AT KEY LITTLE SILVER INTERSECTION

Motorists heading north on Branch Avenue in Little Silver should expect delays Thursday in the vicinity of White Road and Rumson Road as traffic is detoured for the installation of pedestrian crosswalk, police say.

Here’s the text of an announcement from police Chief Dan Shaffery:

Monmouth County Hwy. Dept. will be milling and paving Winfield Drive at the intersection of Branch Avenue tomorrow (6-13-12).

Northbound traffic(towards Red Bank) will be detoured from Branch Avenue onto Markham Place to North Lovett Ave. to Rumson Rd. The northbound lane will be closed on Branch Avenue between Markham Plc. and Rumson Road starting at 8:45 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. After 12:00 p.m. flagmen will alternate traffic in both directions in the area of Winfield Dr. until the paving is completed.

The paving is necessary for the installation of the crosswalk at that intersection. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Remember: Nothing makes a Red Bank friend happier than to hear "I saw you on Red Bank Green!"
