FOUR-MONTH PROBE YIELDS POT BUST

call-in-the-authorities• On January 25, 2013 the Middletown Police Detective Bureau and Quality of Life Units executed a search warrant at a Birchwood Lane residence. The warrant was the result of a four month investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics from the residence. The investigation was conducted by Detective Kevin Gardiner and Officers Richard Fulham and Raymond Sofield of the Quality of Life Unit.

The search warrant resulted in the arrest of Jesse Ballard, age 21, from Birchwood Lane in Middletown, NJ, for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Evidence and Obstructing a Police Investigation. He was held on $7,500.00 bail set by Judge Thomas Scully of the Monmouth County Superior Court.

• Damian Neri, age 24, from Aberdeen Road in Aberdeen, NJ, arrested on January 22, 2013 by Patrolman Robert Shannon on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $500.00 bail.

• Nicole Welch, age 28, Highway 36 in Hazlet, NJ, arrested on January 23, 2013 by Patrolman Richard Raike on Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was held on $2,000.00 bail.

• Amanda Kost, age 26, from Kimberly Court in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 24, 2013 by Patrolman Lawrence Seymour on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Paramus and Totowa Municipal Courts, a Violation of Probation warrant issued by the Essex County Superior Court and a Failure to Appear warrant issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court. She was held pending a court date.

• Virginia Finley, age 29, from Mabel Avenue in Leonardo, NJ, arrested on January 24, 2013 by Corporal Thomas Meckier on for Violation of a Court Order. She was held pending a court date.

• Donna Scala, age 45, from Essex Street in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 26, 2013 by Corporal Bernie Chenoweth for Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples. She was released pending a court date.

• Taylor Southon, age 22, from Cross Way in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 25, 2013 by Patrolman Michael Pintilie on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Holmdel Municipal Court. She was released after posting $750.00 bail.

• Wayne Battista, age 37, from Raritan Street in South Amboy, NJ, arrested on January 25, 2013 by Corporal Robert McNair for Criminal Trespass. He was released pending a court date.

• Michael Penny, age 59, from Highland Avenue in Leonardo, NJ, arrested on January 26, 2013 by Patrolman Charles Higgins on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Robbinsville Municipal Court. He was released after posting $250.00 bail.

• Ryan Colilla, age 29, from 2nd Street in Keyport, NJ, arrested on January 27, 2013 by Patrolman David Crenshaw on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Middletown and Howell Municipal Courts. He was held on $3,250.00 bail.

• John Azzolina, age 55, from Borden Road in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 27, 2013 by Patrolman Brian McGrogan for Violation of a Court Order, Resisting Arrest and Harassment. He was held on $2,500.00 bail with no 10% option set by Judge John Tassini of the Monmouth County Superior Court.

• James Reilly, age 20, from Carnegie Court in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 27, 2013 by Patrolman Adam Colfer for Criminal Mischief. He was released after posting $2,500.00 bail with a 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Bob Siegwarth, age 52, from White Street in Middletown, NJ, arrested on January 28, 2013 by Patrolman David Crenshaw for Sexual Assault and Criminal Sexual Contact. He was held on $20,000.00 bail with no 10% option set by John Tassini of the Monmouth County Superior Court.
