Going eight months without the best pizza in town was no easy task, said Sea Bright Pizza customer Wyatt Mulheren.
I was miserable with out it, he said.
With each passing month, the hurricane-walloped town of Sea Bright is getting its bite back, as businesses gradually continue to reopen.
Locals are now relishing in the return of their favorite slice of “grandma pie.”
Its no surprise that when the sign announcing the return of the Ocean Avenue pizzeria went up last week, locals poured in for the grand reopening last Friday. Some customers couldnt help but overindulge.
I went the first day it opened and ate five slices,” Mulheren said. “It was delicious.”
Glad its back, said customer Zachary Shine.
Nothing compares, Shine said. Its the best pizza around, and is honestly better than most pizza in New York.”
Kelli DiFazio stopped in Monday night. She recalled walking by the day after Hurricane Sandy hit and worrying that her favorite places werent going to be up and running for the summer.
Sea Bright Pizza is a staple of Sea Bright,” DiFazio said. “Its one of the places that makes a summer in Sea Bright. When something like that opens it helps us all move forward.”
Owner Cono Trezza was not immediately available for comment.
