The newly-renovated Tiki Bar at Driftwood Cabana Club in Sea Bright will be open to the public on weekends from October-April.

Sandy may have sent Donovan’s to Davy Jones’ Locker, but beachfront imbibers now have a new place to take in the salt air with their cocktails.

For the first time since the private club’s opening in 1957, the Tiki Bar at Sea Bright’s Driftwood Cabana Club is open to the public.

In the wake of the 2012 hurricane, the open-air bar underwent major renovations, including the addition of heaters and windows to allow for use in the colder months.

Plans for live entertainment and a tavern menu are in the works. Meantime, the full-service bar is open weekends, Friday at 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at noon with a complimentary buffet.
