RED BANK TRIO CHARGED WITH PROSTITUTION

Ocean Township police arrested three Red Bank residents, including a 19-year-old woman, on prostitution-related charges last week, according to a report on NJ.com, the website of the Star-Ledger.

The trio was busted at a motel on Route 35, according to the report.

From the report:

On Jan. 23, two Ocean Township detectives patrolling the area observed suspicious activity at one of the rooms at Tower Motel on Route 35, police said

A subsequent investigation revealed that Jose Rodriguez, 21, and Leonel Perez-Mendez, 21, both of Red Bank, were in the area for the purposes of soliciting a prostitute, police said. The investigation also revealed that Rachel Raffaele, 19, also of Red Bank, was promoting prostitution at the motor inn, police said.

Rodriguez and Perez-Mendez were each charged with engaging in prostitution, while Raffaele was charged with promoting prostitution, Faller said.

All three were released on complaint summons pending future court hearings.
