RED BANK: STOP LEADS TO WEAPONS CHARGES

A traffic stop led to the arrest of 22-year-old Red Bank man for possession of a handgun loaded with highly lethal ammunition earlier this week, borough police said Friday.

A juvenile was also arrested in the incident.

RED BANK: THIEF PEPPER-SPRAYS JEWELERS

A Red Bank jeweler was pepper-sprayed by a thief after he chased her down and caught her a block away from his store, police said Wednesday.

A store employee was also attacked with the irritant, police said.

RED BANK: ROBBERY, ARSON CHARGED

A Red Bank man was arrested on charges he set three fires in the borough and robbed a Little Silver pharmacy in a 12-hour spree earlier this week.

Anthony Sambogna, 24, was arrested without incident on Branch Avenue in Little Silver Tuesday afternoon, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said in a press release Thursday.

RED BANK: MAN FACING WEAPONS CHARGES

A Tinton Falls man is facing weapons charges after he brought a handgun loaded with armor-piercing bullets into Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank last month, police Chief Darren McConnell told redbankgreen Wednesday.

The suspect, Wesley Rucker, age 34, was also charged with impersonating a federal law enforcement official.
