Press release from Rumson Country Day School
The man who has served as Headmaster at The Rumson Country Day School for the past quarter of a century will be the subject of a special tribute, during the private school’s GatorBall fundraiser on Saturday, February 8.
Dr. Chad B. Small (pictured), who will be concluding his long service at RCDS with the end of the 2013-2014 school year, will be honored during the 6 pm gala by the school’s parent community, organizers of the annual GatorBall, which will be hosted inside the school’s Blake Auditorium.
This year’s theme, An Evening of Elegance Celebrating Excellence, is described as “an opportunity for the parent community to celebrate the excellence of RCDS, then and now,” with the goal “to inspire the RCDS community to embrace the school’s mission, and take an active role in supporting it, both financially and through outstanding school spirit.”
Profits raised in past GatorBall events have gone to fund a state-of-the art musical keyboard lab, moveable display boards for student art, Smart Boards for the Upper School, a new piano for the Music department, guest speakers and athletic field improvements.
