In its second year, two-day cash-for-guns program in Rumson and Asbury Park last week saw a 64-percent jump over 2013 in the number of weapons surrendered, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office reported Monday. Rumson took in 171 firearms, including the rifles and pistols shown here, up from 125 last year, and Asbury Park collected 188, up from 93.
