Red Bank police arrested a mother and son on drug charges Wednesday, according to Chief Darren McConnell.
Following a monthlong investigation by Lieutenant Robert Clayton, police executed a narcotics search warrant at a Willow Street residence, McConnell said in a prepared announcement Thursday.
They arrested Santos Montanez, 35, and his mother, Rodina Preston, 58, and charged them with possession of crack cocaine and less than 50 grams of marijuana; possession with intent to distribute within a school zone and related violations.
Bail for Montanez was set at $49,000, while Preston was released on her own recognizance, McConnell said.
