Two Red Bank-area men reported to be brothers were arrested in Millersville, Maryland Monday on charges related to an alleged home invasion, according to news reports.
Ronald Roy, 38, of Highway 35, Red Bank, and Michael Roy, 37, of Bayside Parkway, North Middletown, were held on burglary, gun possession and assault charges after a woman reported they tried to force their way into her mobile home in pursuit of her 29-year-old husband, who was not present, according to a report by WBAL-TV.
From the report:
Investigators said two suspects drove down from New Jersey complaining that the victim’s husband owed them money.
The first suspect tried to force his way into the victim’s mobile home at gunpoint, but the victim managed to kick the suspect before he could get inside, police said. That suspect then fled to a waiting vehicle being driven by a second person, police said.
Police said they found that vehicle a short time later and close to the scene, occupied by both suspects, who were taken into custody without incident and identified by the victim.
The Roys, whom the Associated Press said were brothers, were charged with attempted home invasion, attempt first-degree burglary, handgun violations and first- and second-degree assault.
