Bonnie Graziano of Fair Haven doesn’t know why her husband, Chuck, planted a line of baby Leyland Cypress trees along the edge of their Harding Road property in winter – and Chuck was not available for immediate comment. But the plywood bulwark he built to protect them from heavy snow tossed their way by snowplows held up during last week’s nonblizzard and appeared still to be doing its job Tuesday morning.
