RED BANK: AMBULANCE HITS JAYWALKER

AUTHORITIES_RB1A 66-year-old pedestrian was unhurt after he was struck by an ambulance at Wednesday afternoon, Red Bank police said.

Thomas Thatcher, of Hackettstown, was checked out by a second MONOC crew after he was hit crossing Broad Street at Monmouth Street at 1:20 p.m., Chief Darren McConnell told redbankgreen.

McConnell said Thatcher was crossing against the traffic light when he was hit by a MONOC ambulance enroute to a call in Middletown.

Thatcher declined an offer to be taken to a hospital, McConnell said. No summonses were issued.
