RBR VOICES RING OUT THE YEAR ON HIGH NOTE

allshorechorusofficial-1497234Fifteen choral students from Red Bank Regional made the prestigious All Shore Honor Chorus this year, and will perform in February at the regional function hosted in the RBR auditorium.

Press release from Red Bank Regional High School

The year 2015 was a banner one for vocal majors from the Visual and Performing Arts program at Red Bank Regional High School, who were named to several honors programs, and took part in several prestigious regional programs this year. The new year promises to begin on a high note as well, as RBR sends its talented students to perform in several other honor programs.

Fifteen Red Bank Regional students will be part of the prestigious New Jersey All Shore Chorus, when RBR once again hosts the honors ensemble’s annual performance in February 2016. Pictured in the photo above, they are (back row, left to right) Devin Barry, Belmar; Jack Faccone, Rumson; Brian Healey, Union Beach; Dannielle Wolf, Shrewsbury; Lauren O’Brien, Middletown, Mara Campolattaro, Rumson; Ricci Bigelow, Ocean Township; and (front row, left to right) Shea Grant, Little Silver; Erin Ostrowski, Little Silver; Lea Fanizzi, Shrewsbury; Asha Clarke, Red Bank; Alexa DeAnna, Keansburg; Maddie Stout, Neptune City; Gianna Pallante, Millstone, and Victoria White, Union Beach.

This past October, RBR hosted the Doris Lenz Festival of Singing, which is sponsored by the NJ Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and included 100 students from all over New Jersey competing and participating in solo singing competitions. Also in October, Alexa DeAnna was chosen to participate in a master class with Dr. Sean McCarther of Westminster Choir College, while two other RBR students — Jade Glab, Belmar, and Dannielle Wolf — placed third and fourth in their respective divisions of Classical Voice.  In all, RBR had 22 students compete, more than any other school.

In November, Dannielle Wolf performed in Paramus at the prestigious All-State Opera Festival, joining Erin Ostrowski and four of their peers: Jael Cross, Red Bank; Sydney Gannon, Shrewsbury; Claire Taylor, Ocean Township; Jenna Smith, Shrewsbury, and Jackie Render, Asbury Park. The students also attended workshops and rehearsals with clinicians from the Metropolitan Opera and New York City Opera.

Also in February, Dannielle Wolf and Jade Glab will perform together again as members of the All State’s Mixed Chorus at the New Jersey Teacher’s convention in Atlantic City, as well as at New Jersey PAC in Newark. Victoria White and Erin Ostrowski will represent RBR in the All State Treble Chorus during the same program at New Jersey PAC in February. All three All State organizations are sponsored and run by the New Jersey Music Educators’ Association, an affiliate of the National Association for Music Education.

Remember: Nothing makes a Red Bank friend happier than to hear "I saw you on Red Bank Green!"
