Does October put you in the mood for the strange and otherworldly? This Saturday, Earth Spirit New Age Center in Red Bank hosts a visit by Natalie Zaman, author of the newly published Magical Destinations of the Northeast: Sacred Sites, Occult Oddities and Magical Monuments.
The book’s publisher, Llewellyn, says the book focuses on “pockets of magic… places that make you stop in your tracks as powerful energies speak to your soul,” including Native American and African-American heritage sites, witch’s temples, Druid circles and spiritualist communities.
Christopher Midose, who owns the Monmouth Street store with his mother, Joycelyn, calls Zaman’s book “a guide to all kinds of interesting places in the Northeast that have an occult or mystical history, kind of in the spirit of Weird NJ.”
The event, at 7 p.m, is free, but attendance is by reservation; call (732) 842-3855 for seats. (Photo by John T. Ward. Click to enlarge)
