Press release from Brookdale Community College
Community members are invited to “learn, laugh and lunch” at this year’s edition of A Women’s Conference, going on Friday, April 21 at the Lincroft campus of Brookdale Community College.
Hosted inside the Warner Student Life Center, and scheduled for the hours 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the one-day conference will feature a keynote address by Emme Aronson, the world’s first plus-size supermodel and an internationally recognized advocate on topics such as body positivity, women’s health, eating disorders, surviving cancer and diversity in fashion.
Robin Fox, the stay-at-home mom turned professional comedian who’s entertained during special events at the nearby Monmouth Museum, will speak as well.
The conference offers a full day of immersive workshops and networking opportunities, along with morning coffee and lunch. Attendees can choose from among 12 available workshops on subjects such as horticulture, scriptwriting, Qigong exercise, the science of intuition, chocolate making, consumer rights and astrology.
“This is a chance to break away from your routine, experience new things and be among others seeking intelligent entertainment,” said Linda Martin, director of lifelong learning at Brookdale.
Tickets are $75. To register or for more information, go here or call Brookdale’s Lifelong Learning division at (732)224-2315.
