RED BANK: MORE SNOW ON THE WAY

A screenshot from the National Weather Service’s 6 am Tuesday storm briefing.

By BRIAN DONOHUE

The Red Bank area is in for another round of snow beginning late Tuesday and into Wednesday. As of 6 am, the National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory in effect for the area (not quite a winter storm warning). Snow is expected to reach the area in the evening hours.

With higher snowfall totals predicted to the south of us and less to our north, the NWS has us in the 3-4″ inch range on its map expected totals. The longer term forecast currently calls for our area to dodge the next round of wintry precipitation, which is currently forecast to skew to our north and deliver just cold miserable rain Wednesday night into Thursday. See the seven day forecast below.

Wednesday Night
A chance of rain and sleet before 7pm, then rain, snow, and sleet between 7pm and 1am, then rain after 1am. Low around 33. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.
