The Red Bank Regional (RBR) Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams have had an outstanding season. Hopefully, you had the opportunity to experience an exciting community evening at RBR’s Field House.

The Boys’ Basketball team has powered its way to an impressive 18-3 record, delivering thrilling performances, including victories over Ridge Road rival RFH. They have been consistently listed as “top 5” in the Shore.   A historic moment took place on Tuesday, February 4, when RBR hosted RFH—Coach Sourlis achieved his remarkable 700th career victory, cementing his legacy as one of the most accomplished coaches in the sport.

The Girls’ Basketball team has been equally impressive, boasting a 13-6 record and aiming to host the second round of the Shore Conference Tournament. The team is led by junior Synai Blychanton and senior Caroline Polloway and has consistently been ranked in the “top 20” in the state.  Additionally, Head Coach Truhan achieved an extraordinary milestone of 450 career wins on Saturday, January 25, in a victory over Holmdel.

RBR boys basketball coach George Sourlis netted his 700th career win on February 4.
