It appears clear that the days of Red Bank being the lame playground capital of Monmouth County are nearing an end.
Work continued apace on the dramatic remake of the Marine Park playground in Red Bank earlier this week as workers installed the 100-foot-zip line that is included in the plans. On a 2018 visit to Ireland, we came across a playground with a zip line just like this and after taking a ride fit for an overgrown manchild, wondered, “why can’t Red Bank have this?” Now we’re wondering if a leprechaun wasn’t lurking behind the Dublin swingset listening to our wishful utterances.
