VIDEO: ICE FISHING THE NAVESINK RIVER

By BRIAN DONOHUE

No news today, folks. We’ve gone fishing.

Join Brian Donohue, editor of redbankgreen, Nick Honachefsky, Red Bank resident and host of Saltwater Underground on ESPN2, Eric Keating, Local Smoke Barbecue pitmaster and whoever else shows up for a not-so-misguided ice fishing trip on the Navesink River. Enjoy the video above.

Note: This video was shot Friday, February 6. We know this video is wildly inspiring, but it’s probably best not to rush out and try to do some eeling. Warm temperatures in recent days have thinned and softened the ice.

redbankgreen editor Brian Donohue may be reached via email at [email protected] or by calling or texting 848-331-8331.
