Mayor Billy Portman and the Red Bank Borough Council issued a proclamation Thursday night honoring Mary Ferraro (left) and Dana Colindres for their work organizing the “treasured tradition” of the Red Bank Santa Drop.
The Santa Drop is an annual event sponsored by Red Bank Fire Department’s Navesink Hook & Ladder and West Side Hose in which Santa drives through town on a fire engine delivering presents a few days before Christmas. Portman hailed the two for their work at the reins of the operation calling it, “a shining example of community spirit and holiday joy.”
