Oil paintings by artist John Troisi adorn the walls behind the front desk at the Red Bank Public Library.
On an 87-degree day in April, it felt appropriate to take in some beautiful artistic depictions of our local beaches before they are all crowded with humans. (Can you tell we’re not crazy about it?)
Triosi’s work, which focuses on coastal scenes and elements like sea glass, are on display through April as part of the library’s rotating series of exhibits. They stopped us in our tracks as we checked out a book.
From the RBPL website post on the exhibit: “His remarkable ability to capture the color and light of our coastal surroundings is truly stunning. John’s work extends well beyond the shoreline, with commissioned pieces ranging from portraits of loved ones and pets to barns and wildlife.”
