Here’s the answer to last week’s “Where.”
Last week’s photo was a close-up of the address plaque at 9 Wharf Avenue. The key clue to finding the location of this one was in the reflection in the glass on either side of the plaque, which showed The Globe Hotel and Red Rock Tap + Grill. A few wheresters were able to identify it from the reflection alone.
The historic building at 9 Wharf Avenue is the former home to Chetkin art gallery. When Carol Lynn and Donald Chetkin retired in 2022, it became home to Tatum Gallery. A 1938 city directory lists it at the home of Charles Allaire Produce. The building is currently undergoing renovation after the owner received Red Bank Zoning Board approval to add a fourth floor in 2024.
