Red Bank’s Marine Park officially re-opens Sunday after a dramatic $4 million remake years in the making.
The Borough plans an 11 am grand opening with giveaways, food, music and, finally, the chance for kids to use the two giant playgrounds that have been built as part of the project. The event had originally been scheduled for Saturday but was postponed due the rainy forecast.
redbankgreen took a stroll through the park Saturday, where wide-eyed kids were oggling the playground equipment, and, in some cases, hopping the fence to get in there and try it out. Borough officials and contractors were on hand taking care of last minute details and let us inside for a look.
