Middletown resident Rob King was cruising through the Red Bank municipal parking lot behind the Dublin House Saturday night in his 1969 Plymouth Barracuda.
King said he once considered fully restoring the car, but decided instead to preserve its weathered appearance and give it some added personality with vintage items from the 1960s and ’70s.
The approach, he said, draws more attention than a freshly restored classic might.
King calls his weekend routine “Cars, Bars and Vans” — taking the Barracuda out for a drive, visiting local bars and checking out the Saturday-night scene.
