Festiva, an 85-foot yacht, was docked at Marine Park on Friday night. Red Bank Green spoke to the owner, Everett Moore, who said that it was temporarily parked there due to the Nor’easter forecasted for the weekend. Arrangements were made with the Borough of Red Bank to accommodate the boat’s docking.
You rarely see a yacht or such a boat at Marine Park, although the area once served as a busy hub for commuter ferries. Operated by Teal Cruises, the Festiva typically runs out of Atlantic Highlands but was docked in Red Bank for the incoming storm. The yacht serves parties of 40 to 140 guests. According to Teal Cruises’ website, it seats 100 and includes a ballroom. Moore expressed his desire to be in Red Bank more often to offer additional activities, such as private charters.
