Here’s the answer to last week’s “Where.”
Last week’s photo was of a knight in armor keeping guard at 51 Monmouth Street, a building that houses Lakehouse Music Academy and Red Bank Catholic High school classrooms. The building, built in the 1880’s served as Shrewsbury Township Town Hall and later, after Red Bank succumbed to “boroughitis” Red Bank Borough Hall and then Red Bank Police Headquarters. As redbankgreen readers know, it was the subject of a series of lawsuits after the borough sold it for the YMCA.
Sandra Talarico wisely used the red brick background to identify the building. Saavy Wheresters know how to use contextual clues. But sometimes they can go awry – one person saw the brick and guessed this was at the Galleria.
The Wherester was curious about the knight and was hoping to get the story behind it, but was unable to get to it before heading off on a fishing trip for a few days.
