WIN A BON JOVI GUITAR. GO NAKED. OR BOTH

Done3In an effort to raise awareness about detectable cancers, two Red Bank shops are organizing an evening of champagne, sweets and beautiful, bare skin.

Another organization is auctioning off a guitar donated by pop star Jon Bon Jovi to help feed and clothe those in need.

Well, one of those got your attention, right?

The earlier of the two events is this Friday night’s fundraiser for Lunch Break, a source of free warm meals and clothing located on Red Bank’s West Side.

Everyone in attendance will be fully clothed, if tradition holds.

The event, at the Two River Theater, features food, wine and silent auction items such as a Bon Jovi guitar and a private party for 25 people at his yet-to-officially-open, pay-what-you-can Soul Kitchen, hosted by his wife, Dorothea.

Co-emceed by former Saturday Night Live regular Siobhan Fallon Hogan and rock bassist T.M. Stevens, the gala features a performance by the jazz duo of Chuck Lambert and Susan Haugenes.

The fundraiser runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person. For additional information, call Toni at 732-747-8577 or send an email.

Then, on Sunday, November 20,comes an event event meant to raise goosebumps, er, money, for the Monmouth and Ocean chapters of the American Cancer Society.

Employing models in lingerie and boxer shorts – sorry, no nudes – and fully clothed medical experts, Go Naked & Check Yourself also aims to call attention to early signs of skin, breast and testicular cancer, and to inform those present what to look for.

Go Naked is the brainchild of two businesses that know something about the pleasures of the flesh: Sugarush cupcakes on East Front Street and Sweetest Sin, the lingerie shop on White Street.

Held at Teak restaurant, on Monmouth Street, the event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door, with every penny of ticket sales going to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society. Reserved tables for four, with bottle service, are available for $200. For advance tickets, contact Chris Paseka at 732-414-9044 or Angela Courtney at 732-747-3550.
