ALLEGED BON JOVI BURGLAR BUSTED AGAIN

nick-tracy1A former Red Bank man already facing charges for allegedly breaking into Bon Jovi’s mansion and other Navesink homes was arrested again Wednesday in Ocean County for a home burglary, the Asbury Park Press reports.

The newspaper reports that Nick Tracy, right, 21, of Beachwood was arrested after a brief chase following a daylight burglary of a Toms River home.

redbankgreen readers may recall Tracy as the guy who drove around Red Bank with a large bust of Napoleon Bonaparte seat-belted into the passenger seat of his car last March, shortly before his bust in the Middletown case.

Here’s some of what the Press reports on Tracy’s latest arrest:

Officers were dispatched to the Whitty Road residence after the resident, who was home at the time, confronted the suspect on the second floor.

A suspect ran from the residence and rode away on a bicycle. The resident called police and provided a description of the suspect, police said.

Approximately 15 minutes later, Officer Paul Kaminski saw a man who matched the suspect’s description in the area of the Ocean County Mall riding a bicycle.

The man ignored the officer’s commands to stop and continued riding the bike through the mall parking lot. The suspect eventually stopped his bicycle near the Route 571 mall exit. Kaminski got out of his patrol car and had to chase the man across Route 571 until he surrendered near the SeaCourt Plaza, police said.

Detective Glen Lucas and Officer Mike Macdonald determined Tracy was the same man spotted inside the Whitty Avenue residence.

Tracy is charged with burglary and his bail was set at $15,000. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.

Tracy was spotted several times last summer in downtown Red Bank, where he was said to have an apartment above a store on Monmouth Street, while out on bail in the Middletown case.
