SLUSHY START TO THE WEEK

The Green’s first snowfall of 2012 on Saturday becomes workaday slush Monday, as temperatures climb into the low 50s and rain begins to fall Monday afternoon.

Here’s the forecast by the National Weather Service:

Today: Rain, mainly after noon. High near 53. East wind between 9 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tonight: Rain, mainly before 1am. Low around 42. Southwest wind between 13 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. West wind between 11 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. West wind around 11 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 45. West wind between 10 and 14 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33.

Thursday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 39. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Friday: A chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Sunday: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
