A man and a woman were shot on Red Bank’s West Side Thursday night, according to a report by NJ.com.
The shooting occurred on West Sunset Avenue near Shrewsbury Avenue, NJ.com reported. The time of the shooting was not reported.
Police Chief Darren McConnell could not be reached early Friday morning.
According to the report, the victims, who were not immediately identified, were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
NJ.com said the the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed there had been a shooting in the borough, but did not provide any additional information.
A non-governmental Facebook page, Monmouth County Police, Fire & EMS, reported that a MONOC helicopter had been alerted to take one or both victims to Neptune, but the flight did not take place because of bad weather.
