Two Pennsylvania women were arrested early Saturday morning after they robbed a Red Bank gas station at knifepoint and triggered a pursuit by police from three towns, authorities said.

Red Bank police Chief Darren McConnell told redbankgreen the incident began at 11:34 p.m. Friday, when the pair entered the convenience store at the Shell station at Newman Springs Road and Shrewsbury Avenue, brandished folding knives and demanded cash and cigarettes.

INDICTMENT IN SHOOTING, RED BANK HOLDUP

authorities2aA one-man, 24-hour crime spree that included a holdup of a Red Bank gas station and a shooting in Asbury Park got  a Monmouth County man indicted on federal charges Thursday, authorities said.

Quam Wilson, 23, of Neptune Township, started the blitz by shooting an Asbury Park cab driver in the head during a robbery, an indictment handed down by a grand jury in Trenton alleges.

The driver survived.

SUSPECT ARRESTED IN GAS STATION HOLDUP

This just in from the Middletown PD:

On April 23, 2013 Detective Kelly Godley of the Middletown Police Department arrested Darius Williams, age 24, from Witmer Place in Long Branch, NJ, for Armed Robbery, Possession of an Imitation Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose and Theft as a result of the April 18, 2013 armed robbery of the Raceway Gas Station located on Highway 35 in Middletown.

The arrest came after Detective Lieutenant Raymond Chaparro and Detective Sergeant Jeff Pilone of the Long Branch Police Department located a vehicle that matched the description of one used in an armed robbery of a liquor store in Long Branch on April 22, 2013.

Criminal Mischief occurring on 10-20-12 at Bridge Ave. Victim reported that unknown person(s) damaged his vehicle by slashing driver side front tire and breaking mirror of vehicle. Lt. Richard Mangold.

Criminal Mischief occurring on 10-30-12 at following locations: Clifford Place, Carmen Place and West Westside Ave. Unknown subjects damaged several vehicles. Food and condiment items were thrown at parked vehicles. Ptl. Garrett Falco.

Robbery occurring on 10-31-12 in the area of Oakland Street. Victim reported that two unknown males were involved. One of the subjects approached the victim while walking home and pointed a gun at him demanding money. The other subject stood behind the first subject. RED BANK COUPLE BURGLARIZED, SHOT AT

A Red Bank couple was assaulted and shot at in an early-morning burglary and pursuit early Thursday Friday morning, police say.

According to Captain Darren McConell, five men, at least two of them carrying handguns, forced their way in through the front door of a condominium on Tower Hill, off Prospect Avenue, at about 2 a.m.
