IN oRBit: A GLASS OR TWO OF CLEAR WATER
Today’s issue of the thrice-weekly Red Bank oRBit has, quite by chance, a water theme.
First, there’s our scoop from Red Bank’s Broadway Diner, inexplicably overlooked by the media mob, on what GOP First Lady-contender Cindy McCain ordered when she and her well-dressed retinue showed up for lunch yesterday. Hint: she and her husband make their home (or their primary one, at least) in the sun-scorched state of Arizona, whose residents yearn for it as though it had life-giving properties.
Then there’s our piece on the 33rd annual edition of the Clearwater Festival being staged in Asbury Park this weekend, and the role of Red Bank’s own Ben Forest in keeping it afloat. oRBit editor Tom Chesek calls Clearwater “one of the most eclectic and well-selected music menus of the summer festival season.”
Check out those stories, and then turn on the taps of The oRB, our unbeatable events calendar, and oRbites, our exhaustive listing of restaurants serving.
We’ll be back Friday with more.
