IN oRBit: COLBERT, KIRK & YOU CAN TOO

Today’s edition of Red Bank oRBit drops the details on the upcoming appearance of  Stephen Colbert here in the borough — not the TV pundit character “Stephen Colbert,” but the real Stephen Colbert, interviewed onstage by Two River Theater‘s Aaron Posner as a November fundraiser for the Two River facility (and presented, curiously enough, at the nearby Count Basie). It’s a “candid conversation” entitled I Am Stephen Colbert (And So Can You), and tickets are available.

Also today: a hot-ticket item for the coming weekend, namely, the annual appearance of Dunesday over at Donovan’s Reef in Sea Bright. Now in its 16th year, the day-long benefit concert shows no sign of slowing down — with a full dance card of bands and a hot-button beneficiary (Bring Sean Home.org, the fundraising effort in support of Tinton Falls resident David Goldman and his ongoing effort to reclaim custody of his biological son from the boy’s Brazilian stepfather) selected by the event’s founding father Brian Kirk. We’ve got an exclusive interview with the Dunesday decider and partyband paragon, in which he talks about the reasons behind his support for Goldman, as well as the future of Dunesday itself.

We’ve got it covered, whether now or in November, right here in the new-media nirvana of Red Bank oRBit!
