Today, redbankgreen brings you the third in a series of unedited audio interviews with each of the four candidates for two seats on the Red Bank Council up for grabs in the November 3 election.

Working off the same basic set of questions, we asked the candidates about taxes, development, the recently ratified police contract and their favorite places for takeout, among other topics.

We’re running interviews in alphabetical order. On Monday, we featured incumbent Mike DuPont, a Democrat now winding up his first three-year term, is up first.

On Tuesday, we featured Republican challenger Rob Lombardi.

Today’s spotlight is on Democratic incumbent Art Murphy, who we interviewed and photographed at his home on Prospect Avenue. He’s seeking his fourth full two-year term on the council, of which he’s now president.

We’ll wrap up on Thursday with Republican Kim Senkeleski.
