After Tuesday’s smactacular mix of sun, temperatures and light breezes, heavy-duty summer announces its intentions today.

The National Weather Service forecasts a high near 83 degrees; weatherforyou.com says it’ll be more like 90.

Here’s the NWS outlook through the Memorial Day weekend:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 83. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming south.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 67. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming north northeast.

Thursday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 79. East northeast wind between 5 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. East southeast wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday: Scattered showers, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. East southeast wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 53.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 69.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 75.
