NO DETAILS YET ON FAIR HAVEN FALL

Nearly three days after the rumored death of a teenager who fell from a Fair Haven roof Friday night, borough authorities have yet to disclose any information about the matter.

According to unconfirmed reports, a 14-year-old boy fell off a roof at the Navesink River end of Hance Road shortly before 9p. He was airlifted to a hospital a short time later by a medevac helicopter that landed at Fair Haven Fields.

Fair Haven police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office have not returned phone calls from redbankgreen seeking information about the incident.

The doors at the police station were locked earlier today. It was unclear if the building was closed because of the Columbus Day holiday.

Mayor Mike Halfacre declined comment Saturday morning, citing a police investigation into matters involving a minor. He repeated his statement earlier today.

According to initial reports Friday night, the incident happened at 1 Hance Road; a neighbor confirmed that address as the location of the incident.

Tax records show the property as belonging to Westwind Partners LLC of Scarsdale, NY.
