A Red Bank woman and an Asbury Park man were arrested following an assault of a borough man over money, Red Bank police report.
The incident occurred Monday morning in a parking lot at the Montgomery Terrace apartments on the West Side, according to a statement issued by department spokesman Captain Darren McConnell.
Here’s the statement:
A Red Bank woman and an Asbury Park man were arrested on
Monday morning after attacking a borough man in the parking lot of
the Montgomery Terrace housing complex. The victim, David Rainey,
who is a resident of the complex, was attacked near his apartment by
Quincy Crenshaw, 34 years old of Asbury Park. Crenshaw struck
Rainey knocking him to the ground. Kaisheem Williams , 34 years
old, of Red Bank then sprayed Rainey with a pepper spray type
irritant. The attack was apparently in response to a dispute over
money.
Mr. Rainey received minor injuries but declined medical
treatment. Crenshaw was arrested and charged with Simple Assault
and was subsequently lodged in the Monmouth County Jail. Williams
was charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a
Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. She
was released on her own recognizance. Ptl. Nicholas Maletto
investigated the incident.
