COPS NAB MAN FOR CAR BREAK-INS

just_in1A Tinton Falls man was arrested by Red Bank police early Tuesday morning after a witness reported a break-in underway at a Lincroft motel, Middletown police say.

Louis DeAngelo, 34, of Howard Avenue, was spotted on Shrewsbury Avenue by Red Bank Patrolman Michael Zadlock after Middletown police broadcast a description given by a witness.

The witness reported having seen someone breaking into vehicles parked at the Extended Stay America Motel on Newman Springs Road at 2:15a, according to Middletown police spokesman Detective Lieutenant Steve Dollinger.

DeAngelo, who matched the description, was found in possession of items stolen from the vehicles, Dollinger said.

DeAngelo was charged with burglary, theft and possession of burglar tools. He was held on $15,000.00
bail with no 10-percent option set by Judge Richard Thompson.
