Not a nice pairing with the Sunday paper and an omelette: a flower pot and an empty cash register.
That’s what the owners of Red Bank mom-and-pop breakfast spot Inbetween Café found Sunday morning.
Between Saturday night and Sunday morning, the English Plaza eatery was broken into and burglarized, police Captain Darren McConnell said.
The suspect(s), he said, threw a flower pot through the front window and stole “a relatively small amount of money” from the restaurant.
No other damage was caused, he said, and police are investigating.
The window has since been replaced.
Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to call the Red Bank police at 732.530.2700.
