A selection of holiday season wines, live music, a gift auction and hors d’oeuvres make for a memorable night at the Eisner Memorial Library, when the newly established Foundation for the Red Bank Public Library presents a Wine Tasting Benefit on the night of November 12.
Cork maven Kristy Niro, a wine expert who’s been a frequent presence at special tasting events around the greater Red Bank green, will select and present a range of wines suitable for holiday entertaining and other cold-weather occasions.
Susan Haugenes, a vocalist familiar to several generations of local music fans through her collaborations with Chuck Lambert (as A Cool Blues Duo) and Sherri Ehrlich (in The Little Animal Band, for which she gets in character as Jazzy Janine the Giraffe) will be joined by John O’Neil for an intimate set of sounds for the event that takes place between 7 and 9:30 pm.
There’s still time to reserve by November 5 for the 21-and-over fundraiser at the Eisner Memorial, for which all proceeds support the upkeep of the historic building and its community programs. Tickets ($50 per person; includes wine, hors d’oeuvres and sweets) can be bought in person at the library, or online here.
