A Monmouth County grand jury indicted a Red Bank man Thursday on charges related to spate of burglaries and thefts over a three-month period last year, including two in his home town.

In the earliest of the cases, Mario Sciacca, 34, of Drs. James Parker Boulevard, was charged with breaking into a home in Oceanport on August 25, and with stealing a gas-powered leafblower in West Long Branch on September 5.

During the Oceanport break-in, Sciacca tampered with an air conditioner, causing damages of $5,560, a grand jury in Freehold alleged.

Sciacca was also indicted on two counts of burglary in Red Bank. In one case, on September 8, he’s alleged to have broken into a borough residence and taken unidentified property worth over $500.

The same crimes were repeated on October 14, the grand jury alleged, identifying the victims in both Red Bank cases by the same initials, P.R., without giving a specific address or saying if they were the same person.

The Asbury Park Press Data Universe database of inmates at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution shows Sciacca locked up pending $75,000 bail since October 15.
