A 19-year-old Tinton Falls man was in the Monmouth County lockup Thursday morning following a host of charges filed by Red Bank police .

A Tinton Falls man was arrested on weapons offenses and other charges following a traffic stop on Wednesday night. Cameron Keyes, 19 years old, was stopped on Leighton Avenue by Ptl. Stanley Balmer at approximately 11:15pm for a traffic violation. Keyes was subsequently found to have an active arrest warrant from Neptune Municipal Court.
When Balmer and Ptl. David Hicks attempted to place Keyes under arrest, he resisted their control and pulled a folding knife from his pocket. Balmer was able to disarm Keyes who then continued to violently resist efforts to take him into custody and at one point spit on one of the officers. He was eventually subdued and taken into custody.
Keyes was also found to be in possession of Marijuana subsequent to being arrested. Keyes was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, and various traffic offenses. Keyes was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail set at $131,000.
