RBR APPOINTS PAGANO INTERIM SUPER

tompagano-6460014The Red Bank Regional School District has appointed Thomas Pagano of Interlaken as Interim Superintendent, effective July 1, 2014.

Press release from Red Bank Regional School District

At its June 18 meeting, the Red Bank Regional (RBR) Board of Education appointed Thomas Pagano of Interlaken as the district’s interim superintendent. His employment with the district (on a part-time basis) will begin on July 1, when Superintendent Dr. Jim Stefankiewicz leaves RBR.

Last month, the Red Bank Regional Board of Education regretfully accepted the resignation of Dr. Jim Stefankiewicz, who will assume that position in his hometown of Ocean Township.

Coincidentally, Mr. Pagano held the position of Ocean Township’s superintendent from 1998 until his retirement in 2010, following a long career at the district.  Mr. Pagano has also served as the interim superintendent of the Middletown School District.

RBR Board President John Garofalo stated, “The Board appreciates the superior leadership Dr. Stefankiewicz has provided our district over the past years, as RBR has continued to excel in educational excellence. We wish him well in his new position.

“As we conduct a permanent search for a new superintendent, we are confident that Mr. Pagano’s experience and knowledge, coupled with the first-rate administrative staff at RBR will serve the district well until a new superintendent is in place.”
