“End of an era.” That’s how redbankgreen Partyline contributor Anna Cruz put it after snapping this photo of workers removing the sign from the former Danny’s Steak House Wednesday.
The beloved eatery at 11 Bridge Avenue has been closed for about a year after its owners put signs in the window and a manager told redbankgreen they were closing temporarily for renovations and would re-open in the fall “better than ever.” Guess not.
As redbankgreen‘s Retail Churn reported earlier, the business’s liquor license was recently transferred to an LLC associated with Metrovation East, the development company that owns the adjacent West Side Lofts and the renovated Anderson Building down the street.
Metrovation CEO Chris Cole said the company has no specific plan for the license.
