The project, dubbed The Rail North, would rise on the NJ Transit lots and other properties Denholz has assembled between Monmouth Street and Chestnut Street. It includes a five-story mixed-use building, 331 parking spaces and a public plaza.
In the weeks since the July 8 Planning Board hearing, Denholtz has also found itself on the wrong end of criticism and litigation from residents of two relatively newly built buildings in Red Bank, both of which suffered heavy water damage from burst pipes.
