Looks as if there will be a vote by the Red Bank zoning board tonight on a project to build stores and condominiums at the corner of Monmouth and Pearl Streets.
The project, proposed by Siros of Monmouth LLC, is on tonight’s board agenda.
It’s been kicking around on and off for more than a year.
A planning office employee tells us the public comment portion of the hearing was closed after the last session on the matter back in December.
The builder is asking for density variances to permit the construction of 24 residential units where current zoning allows only four.
The project also calls for 6,000-square-feet of ground-level retail space on the site, which was last rented by Circles Skate Shop.
The vote, if held, would be on the variances only. The builder would have to get subsequent approval for a site plan.
According to a report in the Hub last April, the principals in Siros are principals Anthony Busch Sr. and Jr. and Patrick Nulle.
